Rock Lake United Church Camp, Inc. (RLUCC) is needing new members to be part of our RLUCC Board. As a member, you would be involved in ensuring that RLUCC runs smoothly, with such assigned responsibilities as Finance, Administration, Communications, Program Leadership and Special Projects. Our Treasurer is leaving this position by the end of the year, therefore we need someone who can take on this role ASAP.
The Board meets once a month throughout the year. During the summer months we are more involved when we have weekly camping sessions for the youth, as well as rentals for weekends and special events.
We would really like you to be part of this exciting, rewarding and worthy Board by calling Dave Manning, Chairman of the RLUCC Board at 204-825-8235.
THANK YOU TO THE FOLLOWING ORGANIZATIONS FOR YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT OF ROCK LAKE UNITED CHURCH CAMP 2020-2021
Farquharson Foundation (Expenses)
Morden & Area Thrift Store(Renovations)
Pembina Co-op (Credit for Windows)
Pembina Manitou Foundation (Windows)
Pilot Mound Foundation (Signs, Windows)
Mission & Service Grant (Flooring)
Due to Covid restrictions we were unable to open the camp again this summer. However, we were fortunate to receive grants and donations that enabled us to use this time to make much needed improvements. We completed our staff house project. New flooring and windows were installed and the living room and hallway received a new coat of paint.
Also, thanks to a grant we were able to replace our four old road signs with beautiful new signs giving directions that make it easy to locate the camp.
Thanks as well to all individuals, churches and U.C.W. groups for your donations.
Also, thank you to the group of ladies that painted in the staff house and also the men that helped replace the windows! Without all those who help we wouldn’t be able to continue to make improvements and keep the camp going!
Respectfully, Rock Lake United Church Camp Board
Our mission is to provide a camping environment which encourages freedom to learn about Christian Faith and growth, within a fun, caring and safe community.
We encourage this by offering activities, games and worship providing leadership opportunities where campers learn:
- to conserve and preserve God’s creation
- about acceptance of self and others
- to develop friendships.
The camping program is run by dedicated full-time staff supported by counsellors. Together they create a warm, fun-filled atmosphere where campers of all denominations and non-religious background are able to enjoy the outdoors and grow spiritually.
GLORY TO GOD, WHOSE POWER, WORKING IN US, CAN DO INFINITELY MORE THAN WE CAN ASK OR IMAGINE AT ROCK LAKE UNITED CHURCH CAMP!
