JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Minimum of 21 years of age, mature, responsible, and able to take initiative and serve as a positive representative for RLUCC. Needs strong leadership skills, organizational skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision. Responsible for promoting the camp and managing
electronic communications and social media for the weeks prior to camp, and continuing over the summer. Duties include (but are not limited to); managing staff and volunteers, recruiting volunteer counsellors and campers, overseeing all camp operations, and being aware of and
complicit to Manitoba Camping Association’s and the United Church of Canada’s Camping guidelines. Must have basic First Aid and CPR training and a valid Class 5 license and access to a vehicle.

Applicant must be a minimum of 18 years of age, have camp experience and show leadership in planning, daily programs and themes. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); establishing and maintaining a schedule for a summer camp leadership of games, crafts, worship (aligned with the United Church of Canada theology), appropriate for a variety of age groups. Will need basic First Aid and CPR training.

Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Camp experience a bonus. Duties include: assisting program director with planning daily programs and themes, helping with leadership of games and crafts to large and small groups of all ages. Other duties may include assisting with meals, caretaking, and supervision of campers, etc.

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age, have current NLS certification, First Aid, CPR and canoeing experience. Waterfront responsibilities include safety and maintenance of beach area and aquatic equipment, life guarding, instructing campers on waterfront safety and canoeing, planning and directing of waterfront activities and when time permits, helping in other camping areas as assigned by the Camp Coordinator. As the First Aid Attendant you will need to assist campers with basic First Aid, medications and keep an inventory control of the infirmary. Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Must be a minimum of 16 years of age and have Bronze Cross, First Aid, CPR, and canoeing experience. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); the safety and maintenance of beach area and aquatic equipment, lifeguarding, planning and directing waterfront activities, and when time permits, helping in other camping areas as assigned by the Camp Coordinator.

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have Food Handlers Level 1 before the start of employment. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); meal preparation for large and small groups, preparing options for a variety of dietary needs, and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas. Menu planning and grocery ordering will be assisted by the Kitchen Committee.

Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); grounds maintenance, general repair and cleaning of washrooms and Lodge. Must be able to take initiative to perform maintenance duties, be able to operate yard equipment (riding lawn mower, trimmer, chain saw, etc.) and work with minimal supervision. Have or obtain WHIMS before the start of camp duties.

honorarium (amount based on weekly performance)
Must be 14-18 years of age, have a desire and ability to work with children in a camp setting, and experience working with children. Counsellors are seen as role models for children, and a crucial part of our camping program. Will need to be enthusiastic, have a sense of humour, patience and self-control. Must be able and will to assist in all camp activities and attend the Leadership Development Week.
