JOB OPPORTUNITIES

June 2 – August 15, 2025, $900/week plus room and board

Minimum of 21 years of age, mature, responsible, and able to take initiative and serve as a positive representative for RLUCC. Needs strong leadership skills, organizational skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision. Responsible for promoting the camp and managing electronic communications and social media for the weeks prior to camp and continuing over the summer. Duties include (but are not limited to); managing staff and volunteers, recruiting volunteer cabin leaders and campers, overseeing all camp operations and being aware of and complicit to Manitoba Camping Association’s and the United Church of Canada’s camping guidelines. Must have basic First Aid and CPR training.

June 30 – August 8, 2025, $700/week plus room and board

Applicant must be a minimum of 18 years of age, have camp experience and show leadership in planning daily programs and themes. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); establishing and maintaining a schedule for a summer camp, leadership of games, crafts, and worship (aligned with the United Church of Canada theology), appropriate for a variety of age groups. Will need basic First Aid and CPR training.

July 14 – August 8, 2025 plus 1 week prior to camp start. $650/week plus room and board

Must be a minimum of 16 years of age and have Bronze Cross, First Aid, CPR and canoeing experience.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); the safety and maintenance of beach area and aquatic
equipment, lifeguarding, planning and directing waterfront activities, and helping in other camping areas
as assigned by the Camp Coordinator.

July 14 – August 8, 2025 plus 1 week prior to camp start. $650/week plus room and board

Leadership Development Week

July 2,3,4. Registration July 2, 10 am. Depart July 4, 3 pm. July 13 – 3 pm arrival.

Must be a minimum of 16 years of age and have Bronze Cross, First Aid, CPR and canoeing experience.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); the safety and maintenance of beach area and aquatic

equipment, lifeguarding, planning and directing waterfront activities, and helping in other camping areas

as assigned by the Camp Coordinator.

Volunteer – Honorarium (amount based on weekly performance)

Leadership Development Week

Must be 14 – 18 years of age, have a desire and ability to work with children in a camp setting, and experience working with children. Cabin Leaders are seen as role models for children and a crucial part of our camping program. Will need to be enthusiastic, and have a sense of humour, patience and self-control. Must be able and willing to assist in all camp activities and attend the Leadership Development Week.

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have Food Handlers Level 1 certificate before the start of employment. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); meal preparation for large and small groups, preparing options for a variety of dietary needs, and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas. Menu planning and grocery ordering will be assisted by the Kitchen Committee.
